It is important to note that the Charities (Amendment) Act 2024 does not replace the Charities Act 2009. Instead, it makes changes to 35 sections of the 2009 Act. As of the 27^th January 2005, 12 of the 35 sections have commenced.

The Charities Regulator has provided a summary document, outlining the key changes for the Charity Sector arising from the Charities (Amendment) Act 2024 and what these changes mean for charities.
